The world outside is quiet;
Everything in darkness except your face,
Bathed in the soft glow of my bedside lamp.
On sleepless nights like this I lay;
Listening to your soft sighs, watching your beautiful face,
Long lashes laying against the top of your cheeks.
I lay awake and stare at you;
I smile to myself and marvel,
How lucky I am you chose me.
I lay awake and stare some more;
I smile to myself and whisper,
I love you.
