This month has been more about planting flowering perennial plants in our new tiered flower bed in the front yard than crafting or reading. Gone are the ugly, spider-infested pine bushes and in it's place is a lovely tiered flower bed. Let's just hope this time, we've planted the plants in the right areas for their sunlight needs. I think we'll wait until next weekend to put down some mulch just in case the plants did not survive.
I got my 1968 Royal Signet Portable Typewriter in the mail and in really good condition earlier this month. I love it to pieces! I also bought 3 new ribbons to go with it from Amazon.
On the yarn side of things, the crocheted market bag project was a no go. I wasn't feeling it. So I frogged it and turned it into a C2C Typewriter Mat and it definitely helped dampen the sound of the typewriter. Without it, the typewriter is already pretty quiet and can't be heard in the master bedroom with the door closed. How I wish there's a Colorado Springs Type-In or Type-Out event I can go to with my Signet. Even after the C2C mat, I still had quite a lot of yarn left over so I finally made a washcloth for myself.
On other craft news, I did 2 watercolor paintings this month and if you participated in the 30 Watercolors in 30 Days challenge, I hope you had fun.
